The sun was shining on Friday afternoon as the Primary Seven class were confirmed by Archbishop Eamon Martin in St Colman's Chapel, Barnmeen. The children were joined by the Primary Seven class from St Mary's, Rathfriland for the ceremony so it was a real celebration for the parish.
Thanks to choir for the beautiful music, to Fr. C. Byrne and Deacon G. McBrien who officiated at the mass and to Mr Keenan and Mrs Donlan who prepared the children for Confirmation.
After the ceremony refreshments were served in the Community Centre. Thanks to all of the parents who helped to make teas or assisted in any way to making the evening such a success.
