It’s four yeses!St Patrick’s Primary School in Drumgreenagh, just outside Rathfriland in County Down, featured on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent over the weekend. The St Patrick’s Junior Choir sang Keane’s ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ for the four famous judges and received a standing ovation from the crowd. Choir Director and Primary 4 / 5 teacher, Mrs McCaughey said:“We had a wonderful experience at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions in Manchester. We had put in a lot of practice and preparation so we are thrilled that the judges enjoyed our performance. “There were some nerves as we got up on stage. I had my back to the audience but I knew things were going well as the children’s smiles got bigger and the cheers got louder. When I turned around the whole crowd as well as all 4 judges were on their feet – we really were overwhelmed!“To get four yeses from the judges was the icing on the cake. Now the whole school is really excited, as well as a little nervous, to see if we can make it through to the next stage of the competition.
